Dr George Nassis, PhD

Dr George is a sports scientist and exercise physiologist with international experience on football performance & science. Currently, Dr. George is an associate professor at the United Arab Emirates University, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Before that, he was the international director of the high performance team for Team China, the head of Excellence in Football Project at the National Sports Medicine Programme in Aspetar and the head of Panathinaikos FC performance lab. Dr. George has published a number of papers in international, peer reviewed scientific journals and has presented in international conferences and events including the AFC Medical Conferences in 2015 and 2019.

Dr. George has co-founded the Panathinaikos FC performance lab and served as its head for more than 5 years. He was also the head of Excellence in Football Project at the National Sports Medicine Programme in Aspetar. He has published a number of papers in international, peer reviewed scientific journals and has presented in a number of international conferences and events including the AFC Medical Conferences in 2015 and 2019.
