Prof. Dr. Victor Hoe

Professor Dr. Victor Hoe (何志偉) is a Public Health Medicine Specialist and Professor at Universiti Malaya, currently serving as Head of the Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, and Editor-in-Chief of the Medical Journal of Malaysia. He previously served as University Senate Member (2021–2024) and Head of the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Unit at UMMC (2018–2022). His research focuses on worksite wellness, ergonomics, musculoskeletal disorders, and health risk assessment. Professor Hoe has received several honours, including the ICOH-ILO Master Fellowship, the Malaysian Medical Association’s Meritorious Award, and the APACPH Medal of Merit. He is recognised for pioneering the integration of technology into medical education and public health practice. Throughout his career, he has actively contributed to national and international public health bodies, supervised postgraduate research, and continues to shape occupational and public health policy and education in Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.
