Dr. Raouf Nader Rekik is a medical doctor and sports physician with a background in emergency medicine, and he holds a PhD in Physical Activities and Sport Science. He has been working as a Clubs and Federations doctor in the National Sport Medicine Programme (NSMP) department, Aspetar hospital since 2012. He serves as the Head of NSMP department Scientific and Education Committee and is also a member of the Scientific Committee at Aspetar hospital. He organized accredited events such as conferences and journal clubs. Throughout his career, he dedicated 6 years from 2006 to 2012 to the Tunisian national tennis team, while also working in football, volleyball, and athletics clubs. His research and interests encompass Football, Tennis, Anti-doping, MSK US and the prevention of sports injuries, including risk management in sport, ACL injuries, as well as muscle and groin injuries. He covered numerous international competitions across various sports, such as the AFC Under 23 Asian Cup 2024, AFC Asian Cup 2023, FIFA World Cup 2022, FIFA Arab Cup 2021, CAF Super Cup 2020, FIFA Club World Cup 2019, IAAF World Championships in Athletics 2019, Asian Athletics Championships 2019, Handball World Championships 2015, as well as World Championships in boxing, swimming, and more. Alongside his degree in sport medicine, he holds the IOC postgraduate diploma in sport medicine and the FIFA diploma, in addition to two professional master’s degrees in the prevention of professional risks (occupational health and safety) and Emergency medicine and disaster. He actively participated in international conferences as a speaker and contributed to scientific publications in the field of sports injuries management and prevention.
