Dr. Ng Chye Yew

Mr Ng is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hand, wrist, and peripheral nerve surgery. He established a regional service for brachial plexus and complex nerve injuries, with additional expertise in scapular winging and scaphoid nonunions.

A graduate of the University of Edinburgh, he was awarded the Ettles Scholarship and Leslie Gold Medal as the top MBChB graduate of his year. He completed orthopaedic training in Edinburgh, followed by fellowships in upper limb and hand surgery. He holds both the British and European Diplomas in Hand Surgery, receiving the Best Performance Award, and has been awarded several prestigious travelling fellowships.

Mr Ng is recognised for his work with elite athletes, including Premiership footballers, professional rugby players, and GB team members. He has authored over 70 publications, contributed to textbooks and surgical videos, and previously served as a BSSH council member and Chair of the UK Training Interface Group in Hand Surgery.
