Dr. Vinotha Genisan is a dedicated Sports Medicine Specialist. She earned her MBBS from Melaka-Manipal Medical College before pursuing a Master’s in Sports Medicine at the prestigious University of Malaya. Since 2014, she has been an integral part of Hospital Kuala Lumpur, while also serving as a Visiting Consultant in Sports Medicine at Bukit Tinggi Medical Center.
With extensive experience in managing a wide range of sports-related injuries from acute and repetitive strains to complex musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Vinotha has played a crucial role in the recovery and performance of countless athletes. Her expertise has taken her to national and international sporting events, where she has served as a team physician or tournament doctor at the SUKMA Games, Para SUKMA, SEA Games, Badminton Asia, and many more. As a National Classifier for para-athletics, she is deeply involved in advancing the field of adaptive sports.
Her particular interest lies in musculoskeletal ultrasound, a cutting-edge diagnostic tool she uses in real time to provide precise, efficient, and reliable assessments for her patients. She has organized and presented musculoskeletal ultrasound workshops at both national and international conferences.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Vinotha is actively engaged in research, spearheading multi-center clinical trials focused on obesity in school going children, patellofemoral studies and balance board interventions. A true sports enthusiast at heart, she channels her passion into running and remains deeply connected to the athletic community both on and off the field.
