Om El Khir Ksantini

France/Tunisia | Qatar

Om El Khir Ksantini is a French/Tunisian physiotherapist who graduated in 1998 from the l'Ecole Superieure des Sciences et Techniques de la Sante in Tunisia. She worked in Tunis at the l'Institut National de Neurologie in ICU from 1999 until 2002 before taking a position at the Qatar Sports Medicine Center in Doha. In addition to managing the treatment of elite athletes at the Sports Medicine Center, Ms Ksantini also was a Gymnastic National team physiotherapist in Qatar from 2003 to 2007.

Ms. Ksantini joined Aspetar at its inception in April 2007. She worked in Rehabilitation Outpatient Department for 5 years treating athletes with a variety of injuries. Since 2010, she also joined the inpatient unit managing post-operative patients and at the same time began to specialize in the treatment of hand and upper extremity injuries. Her training in this specialization field included attendance at a hand splinting course in France and more recently she attended an intensive internship in Luxemburg for hand splinting. Presently Ms. Ksantini is Senior Physiotherapist in Aspetar responsible for Hand therapy and the Hand Splinting Program.
