Matthew Azzopardi

Matthew graduated from the University of Malta in 2001 and has worked in both the public and private sectors in Malta and in local football and sports teams. In 2012, he was elected as President of the Malta Association of Physiotherapists for a period of 2 years, and on behalf of the Maltese physiotherapy community hosted the General Meeting of the ER-WCPT in Malta 2012. In May 2014, he led the Maltese delegates in the 9th ER-WCPT meeting in Copenhagen.

In 2014 he graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Masters degree in Neurological Rehabilitation. Since 2016, he has moved to Qatar and currently works at Aspetar Hospital and is involved in both musculoskeletal rehabilitation and physiotherapy management of sport-related concussion.
