Dr Francisco Moreira

Born and grown in Lisbon, Portugal. Since 2021 Aspire Academy Sports Medicine Centre Medical Director.

Education:
- Graduated in 2008 from Nova Medical School in Lisbon, Portugal followed by
General Practice/Family Medicine training plus Sports and Exercise Medicine training.
- Specialist in General Practice and in Sports and Exercise Medicine by Ordem dos Medicos
(Portuguese Board).

Football Experience:
Started as Club/Team Physician in Vitoria Futebol Clube (2 years) then moved to Sporting Club de Portugal. After 6 years moved to Chelsea Football Club.

Rugby Experience:
- Former Team Doctor for Portugal Rugby National Team and Medical Director for Federação
Portuguesa de Rugby for 5 years.
- Participated in Rugby Europe Championships, World Cup, Olympic Qualifying and Junior
World Trophies with the national squads.
- World Rugby Educator and Trainer.

Other:
Medical Consultant in a private clinic in Lisbon where provided medical care to the community.

Sports Experience:
Rugby player with an 18 years career both at club and international level representing Portugal in all age groups for 10 years.
