

Alexis Weber

Alexis Weber (born 1984) joined FIFA in 2014 as coordinator in the Medicine & Science Department and since 2016 has been leading the FIFA Anti-Doping Unit. In this capacity, he is responsible for the successful implementation of FIFA’s Anti-Doping Testing together with education programmes and research activities. He oversees the result management of doping cases in football handled by Member Associations, Confederations, NADOs and other national-level bodies to ensure the correct implementation of the FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations and the World Anti-Doping Code.
He studied Finance and International Business at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Furthermore, he concluded advanced studies in International Sports Law at the University of Zurich. Since 2017 he is a member of the ASOIF Medical & Science Consultative Group and in 2019 became a member of the Tokyo 2020 Pre-Games Expert Group (established by ITA). Equally, Alexis lectures at the Université de Lausanne in the Certificate of Advanced Studies Anti-Doping for Sport programme.
